Product Detail

Monmouth is a traditional glass-blowing studio based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Their furnace holds 200 kilograms of glass and remains molten at 1110 C 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Making one-of-a-kind homewares from lights to drinking vessels, each Monmouth piece is gathered from the furnace, hand-shaped and blown using techniques that date back hundreds of years.
Isaac Katzoff created unique Murrine glass pieces to develop these limited-edition rosette vases using the Murano technique. These cobalt and cadmium yellow rosette vases are inspired by Les quatres rosaces aux motifs bleus [The Four Rosettes with Blue Motifs], 1949–50, by French artist Henri Matisse.

9-11cm diameter, 17.2cm tall approximately
hand-blown glass
made in New Zealand

Please note: each glass vase has been hand blown so there will be slight variations in shape and colour. This only adds to their beauty and character.
