Product Detail

Turn your home into a work of art with this cushion featuring Anmatyerr artist Emily Kam Kngwarray’s extraordinary work. Kngwarray was one of the most significant contemporary painters to emerge in the late 20th century. Her formal practice began when she was in her 70s when she exploded onto the Australian contemporary art scene. It’s estimated that she produced over 3000 paintings in her short eight-year career. Through vibrant colour and richly layered linework, Kngwarray’s paintings pay homage to her Country in Alhalkere. Adapted from a work in the exhibition Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia, this luxurious cushion features red and black on one side and pastels on the reverse.
