Product Detail

This extensively illustrated exhibition book reflects on almost 70 years of work by Bridget Riley (born 1931), from early works to the exploration of recent developments in her practice. Known for her distinctive, optically vibrant paintings, Riley is still at the height of her powers, pursuing large-scale site-specific wall paintings as well as developing new canvas works. This book also examines the influence that artists such as Georges Seurat and Piet Mondrian have had on Riley. Included are a selection of critical writings, statements and conversations from leading scholars and commentators on her practice, including a newly commissioned 2019 essay from Éric de Chassey.
