Pounamu is the Māori name given to New Zealand greenstone which is considered a taonga (treasure) and is intended to be gifted and passed from one generation to the next. Carved from translucent green stone, these statement earrings have a soft green glow in the light.
Each piece of pounamu jewellery has been made by hand and is one of a kind. Variations in the colour and shape of the pounamu stone may occur as a result (our current earrings are dark pounamu). This only adds to the unique beauty and character of each piece.
