Pounamu Toki Pendant
NZ MadeProduct Detail
Pounamu is the Māori name for greenstone found in New Zealand’s South Island and revered as taonga (treasure). These marvellous deep green pendants are hung on an expertly waxed and plaited cord with pounamu carved into the shape of a toki, symbolising strength and triumph over adversity.
Each piece of pounamu jewellery has been made by hand and is one of a kind. Variations in the colour and shape of the pounamu stone may occur as a result. This only adds to the unique beauty and character of each piece.
