Kusama Necklace Gold
JewelleryProduct Detail
Yayoi Kusama (born 1929) is a Japanese artist known for immersive installations and for using ‘infinity dots/nets’. Her use of dots began stems from the hallucinations she experienced as a child, later revealed as an obsessive-compulsive disorder that causes patterns to dominate her field of vision. Throughout her practice, she has covered surfaces – canvas, household objects, pumpkins, entire rooms – with polka dots. Abstracted and rendered in 14k gold, this necklace is a tribute to the enduring power of Kusama’s work. Drawing inspiration from nature, art and antique jewels, each piece from local jewellery designer Charlotte Penman is a precious, timeless treasure.
