Product Detail

This lightweight scarf features the vividly coloured Mediterranean landscape beloved by French artist André Derain (1880–1954). This work, titled Paysage à l’Estaque, was painted shortly after the first Fauvist exhibition at the Salon d’Automne debuting works by Henri Matisse, Maurice de Vlaminck, and Derain. Known for their bold use of non-naturalistic colour and expressive dabs of paint, the Fauves were foundational in the shift toward abstract art. Dappled in sunlight, this ‘natty’ scarf is a versatile pop of colour that can be worn by anyone as a headscarf, neckerchief, scarf or tied to your favourite bag.
